Daily Operations of the Nebraska Morning Net & Nebraska Storm Net

Statewide traffic nets serve as an essential communication link connecting radio amateurs across Nebraska’s 93 counties every day of the year.

The Nebraska Morning Net operates on 3982 kHz LSB daily, bringing together stations from Omaha to Scottsbluff. Operators handle National Traffic System (NTS) radiograms, official ARRL section bulletins, weather updates, and welfare check-ins.

During severe weather situations, the Nebraska Storm Net activates to handle real-time emergency reports, relaying critical severe weather reports from storm spotters directly to the National Weather Service forecast offices in Valley/Omaha and Hastings.
